Whisky Brownies

250gm/1 cup butter
11/2 cups dark chocolate callets
1 cup caster sugar
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 shot of whisky
4 large eggs
1 cup all purpose flour ( sifted )
1/2 cup walnuts toasted and rubbed*
Handful of milk chocolate callets

Melt the chocolate and butter together over a double boiler
Whip the eggs and sugars together.
Add the whisky
Add the melted chocolate and butter and incorporate
Fold in the flour
Add the nuts and milk chocolate
Spread the batter into a greased 9x13 baking tray
Bake for about 20 minutes at 180C/350F

* once you have toasted the walnuts, rub them in a tea towel, that will loosen and loose the tannin flavoured skin surrounding the kernel
